Wow its been a while!

First here a couple of neat pics taken at the beach!

My beautiful girls!

Relaxing with the girls

Always a silly picture
We have been VERY busy lately, mostly due to my new JOB!!!! Yes I got a new job!! The place is called Palm Harbor Homes, its a manufactured/modular home company with locations in 17 states. I will be the new Office Manager, basically in charge of everything that happens in the office, its a major undertaking for me and a lot of responsibility but I'm excited to do it. I was one of the least qualified (they even told me that) but I had confidence and a positive attitude! I actually did training last week at 2 different stores both 2 hours from Corpus, so I spent a total of 20 hours in the car and drove about 1270 miles last week, it was exhausting! The girls were daddy's responsibility all week, getting up and getting ready for the sitter, drop off at Ms.Norma's, pick up and then supper. Jas did a wonderful job, but totally saw how much work and stress it is worrying about 2 other people in the morning plus getting to work on time. The girls had an awesome first week back, Addie was awake at 6:20 monday morning, dressed and ready to go. They even wanted to go to Ms. Norma's on Saturday and Sunday this week! There was no transitioning them back into that schedule or back at Ms. Norma's, they went right back in like they had never left!
I am still working on 2 classes and starting to figure out what we are going to do for Addie's birthday which is quickly coming up on June 30. Can't believe she is going to be 4 years old already. Tomorrow I will have my first day at MY store, I am anxious, nervous, and full of doubt as to whether I can do this and learn all these new things. Anyways, I will try to get better at updating on a weekly basis, sometimes just can't find the time to do it! Have a great week!

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for many things!
First of all I am SO thankful for our chance to come back to Corpus Christi. I feel normal again. My friends (well most of them) have welcomed us back with open arms and we truly feel at home again. I'm thankful we are able to live in this beautiful place again and can share so many neat experiences with not only the girls but all our friends and family who come to visit.
Almost looks like snow
Amazing!
I am thankful Jas is so happy at his new job, he feels as if a weight has been lifted off his shoulders, he's enjoying going to work everyday and is excited what the future holds for him.

There have been little snags in our quest to move back here and even more so since we arrived, but I am thankful everything somehow has worked itself out.

I am thankful for two little girls that can sometimes irritate me beyond belief but can make me laugh at the same time. Today included getting into my makeup and filling the house with balloons and streamers, not what a mom wants to find after spending 3 hours cleaning and folding laundry, however they were trying to be cute.

I know I know....

Yes I should have blogged a few days that we are HERE!!! Things have been crazy since we got here, but we are unpacked and mostly settled in.
The drive down went really well, made it in about 19 hours and considering we had a 26ft uhaul, that's pretty darn good. We made it to Texarkana the first day and then came the rest on Monday. We pulled in the driveway about 5pm!!! With the help of a couple friends we were unloaded in a couple hours, had some pizza and beer in the driveway for a couple hours, sooo happy to be back!
We've ran errands all week, went up to Jas's work and managed to fit in 2 beach trips already. The townhouse is decent, its wasn't "brittani clean" as jas calls it when we got here so that was a task on its own. The girls were excited to pick their own rooms upstairs, we have plenty of room and plenty of work to do in the backyard to get it useable for the kids. Right now its a huge sandbox and needs sod put down, hopefully in the next couple weeks. We've also visited ms. norma and the girls are soooo ready to go back. But alas, I have to find a job first. I know it will all work out in time, everything has so far.
Oscar very happy to be back at the beach

Would love to have a wordless wednesday!

But I'm not entirely sure where my camera is at the moment =)

We are packed for the most part, some stuff can't be packed till last minute. Cupboards are getting bare, but that's my goal, not to have to move much food, and we won't be moving any refridgerated stuff.

Tomorrow we are mowing for the last time before we leave, I will be trying to get ahead on schoolwork and the girls are gonna hang out with daddy for awhile. I've started wiping out cupboards as i've packed them in hopes that once we are ready to leave we can just go.

Friday is the last day of preschool for the girls, I think they are ready, not sure I am though. Its very good for them to have some time away from each other and have their little minds occupied on their schoolwork. But alas, all good things come to an end, can't wait till I can find a job and they can go back to Ms Norma's! I know they are ready to go back the day we get to Texas!

After school we are heading to pick up the uhaul then heading to a goodbye cookout in Sullivan (the town jas worked in) A few friends will be there along with a couple of jas's employees from ADM. Even though I've hated living in this area, I have made some awesome friends here that I will miss dearly! Really hoping they are up for a visit to south Texas! Late Friday night, my mom and Jim, grandma sandy, and both my sisters are coming into town to help us load the uhaul.

Saturday allllllll day we will be loading the uhaul and hope to have everything loaded by that night. Then....Sunday morning we are off!!! We are planning to drive at least 10 hours the first day, then stay overnight, then finish off the trip on Monday!

I've had mixed feelings the last couple days as I am again packing up my life and moving on to another place. But Corpus Christi isn't just another place to me, Its strangely "home" I feel so good being there and can't wait to be back. Even though I've hated it here, I still LOVED my house, my yard and being close(r) to family and all those things are kinda hard to give up. But as always I am ready for the new adventure even though its not in a new place.

AAHHH, well I'll try to update on Saturday night but if not, i'll update when we arrive in Texas!

I'm gonna end this with a funny quote a friend sent me:

"You may all go to hell, and I will go to Texas" -Davy Crockett

YAY!!

We got an offer on the house today and after 5 hours of negotiations, the house is SOLD!!! Such huge weight has been lifted, knowing we won't be making a mortgage payment and a rent payment.

We also put a deposit down on a townhouse today on Padre Island (part of Corpus Christi) its in the school district we want cause its the best. Its a townhouse with 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, 2 car garage, fenced in back yard and the best part is its 3 blocks to the beach! Should be perfect, we had a friend scope it out for us last night to make sure it was a good idea.

We are leaving a week from Sunday, yes it was moved up due to Jas being "released of his duties" at ADM just 2 days after putting in his notice, so we are headed down a week earlier. I am about 70% packed, and now since the house is sold, I can finish it up early in the week. My family is all coming next weekend to load us up and we are taking off Sunday morning and should be arriving in Corpus Monday afternoon!!

Gosh this has all gone so fast since we finally got the news about the job, that was just 8 days ago, and we are leaving in 8 days!! Record for fastest move for us!

WELLL.....AMAZING NEWS!!

I am SOOOO extrememly excited to share the wonderful news that WE ARE MOVING!!!! And where to you wonder???

Hmmmm BACK TO TEXAS BABY!!!!!!

Jas will be leaving ADM (his current company) and will be starting a new job with Planter's Coop. He will be the Operations Manager of four facilities, all near Corpus Christi. Deep down I knew this job was meant to be. Originally back in October his resume was given to this company, they at that time decided they weren't opening the position (its a brand new position), then in February while I was in Texas, he actually got a call that they wanted to do a phone interview with him (ironic maybe since I was there), fast forward to middle of March, they called and wanted to fly him down for an interview, this was the weekend we were in St Louis, we were actually dropping him off at the airport. He had an awesome interview and fell back in love with the area all over again. We've been anxiously, sometimes pain stakeingly waiting for news to whether he got it or not. FINALLY, Thursday as we were headed to Missouri for Easter he got the call and he GOT IT!!!! So we are moving April 25th back to Texas!!!! Lots to do in the next 3 weeks. Our house we put on the market actually 3 weeks ago, but no offers yet, so everyone please pray we sell it before we move, sooner than later would be better!!

Words can't express how happy I am to be moving back, yes its going to hard to leave my family and friends back in the midwest, extrememly hard, but they'll have a permanent vacation spot! We'll make the best of the time we have together.

This job also means we will finally have stability which is so important to me. I will be going back to work, the girls can go back to Ms. Norma's and my heart will feel whole again.

I'll blog tomorrow with Easter pics!!
